This card gets you a statement credit after reaching the minimum spend, then, here is the Disney sweetspot, earn 2% in Disney Reward Dollars when you use the card for groceries, restaurants and gas. The annual fee isn’t waived but it’s very affordable.

How to Use my Disney Reward Dollars

Disney Reward Dollars can be used towards Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Movies or at the Disney Store. You can also use your Disney dollars to pay yourself back in the form of a statement credit toward any airline ticket you purchase. Special Disney perks include special vacation financing with 0% APR for 6 months on select Disney vacations, onboard savings on Disney Cruise Lines, 10% off on shopping & dining at Disneyland or Disney World and special photo opportunities with Disney or Star War characters.

Bottom Line

Obviously, you have to love everything Disney to justify even applying for this card and forgoing one of your 5/24 Chase card applications. But, even if you are a Disney enthusiast, is this going to pay off? We tend to lean more toward versatile cards that offer you more back per $1. Maybe go with the (Citi Premier) or the (Capital One Venture), which can also be used toward Disney vacations, but with no specific areas of spend, just charge up your trip and get reimbursement as a statement credit which sounds a lot easier than keeping track of what spends your Disney card will recognize as eligible purchases.
