Why Trust Us?

We can think of 5 simple reasons:

  1. We don’t take money from the banks (or any other third parties). Our advice is 100% unbiased, and intended solely to help you. Read more on our methodology here >
  2. We built and own the Points Navigator site. That means we’re not the public face of a private corporation. We don’t answer to anyone but you.
  3. Like you, we love to travel and explore — especially using credit card points. In our case, we’re friends and entrepreneurs who built the ultimate “points navigating” tools for  ourselves… that we’re now sharing with you.
  4. We’re a bit obsessed with collecting points. So we spend  way too much time innovating the best systems, logic, and strategies to make us (including you) mad amounts of points.
  5. We won’t accept your money… until we prove our value-add to your life. We’ll let you use all our premium tools and information for free. We don’t even ask for a credit card up front. That’s how confident we are that you’ll eventually gladly shell out a few bucks for our service.
  6.

I'm a serial entrepreneur, traveler, filmmaker, amateur street photographer, fantasy football enthusiast, full-time dad, and part-time points collecting hobbyist. And here's a secret: I'm THE most disorganized points collector on the planet. Which, of course, was in part the inspiration for all the tools you'll find on the Points Navigator site. The super talented folks who actually did the tool development used the standard of "is it Lenny-friendly?" Amazingly, it is.

As Mark Twain famously said: "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." I love numbers, I love helping people, I love the points game. And I love conceptualizing websites. I spent the last 14 years of my life building a web design agency, but it only fulfilled a few of my loves. So I sold the company; my wife and I moved to Africa to volunteer; and I co-founded the Points Navigator. As for Mark Twain, someone should have told him -- doing what you love is still a lot of work!! The results, though, worth it.

I’ve always been fascinated with traveling, exploring different cultures, music, dance, and food. That’s what fueled my drive to travel as far and as often as possible. But, alas, my bank account limited me in my explorations. That is, until a very good friend turned me onto blogs and websites that taught me how to travel with points and miles. I quickly became enamored with getting back “travel money” for spending money that I had to spend anyways. What a beautiful opportunity! This soon became an obsession that I’d talk about with all my friends and family. In no time, we were all voyagers. Paulo Coelho said “Travel is never a matter of money but of courage” and thanks to points and miles, those words have never been truer.

I was born in beautiful Kenya -- Hakuna matata! Professionally, I have a background in both banking and travel. That experience has made me customer-focused, as well as detail-oriented. My role with Points Navigator is to scour the internet daily to make sure every detail on every card, and in every article, is accurate and up to date. I know the site — and its customers like you — are going to rely on my work to make decisions. I take that responsibility seriously.
