This is one of those cards that gives you fast cash for doing practically nothing. The normal offer is $150 welcome bonus after spending just $500 in 3 months. Occasionally there are special offers that bring it closer to a card worth consideration, but generally, this isn't a card we would waste a mark against your 5/24. The one exception might be in building credit as this card is easier to qualify for than some of the best cards in the hobby.
Not Bad For A Starter Card

Redeeming is easy -- you can get cash back, statement credit or check in any amount at any time and rewards never expire. We don’t usually expect a lot of extras with a cash card, but this one actually has a couple of surprises. There is complimentary concierge service, extended warranty, 24-hour travel assistance, travel accident insurance, car rental insurance and roadside assistance.
Bottom Line
Capital One Quicksilver Rewards offers a lot of value in a small package. It’s a no-hassle card that you simply use and earn. We think it’s particularly good for beginners. You can dabble in the credit card game (without a specific goals) and see how easy it is to earn.
If you are a seasoned points person, however, this might be considered a waste of time. It’s not a Chase card, but it will still count against the Chase rule. The welcome bonus is reasonable for the spend, but it's still small in comparison with some of the other offers.
